When you open Send New Invitation, you won't see the From field. FundEasy admins, hosts, and the general public all use the same template, so we use use variables to automatically fill in the name and email address of the person who is sending the email. This also helps us track who sent the Invitation email in Sent Invitations and in the Guest List Managers.

The reply-to field in your email software uses the name and email address of the user logged into FundEasy who sent the email. If you want to change the name and email address of the sender to something else, you'll need to edit the Registration Invitation Email template.

You can access the template from the Customize Email Template link in Send Invitations or from Event Setup>Web & Email Templates > Registration Invitation Email>Edit template.

To customer the sender info, remove the default %HostName% and %HostEmailAddress% variables (including the % symbols) from the Sender Name and Sender Email Address fields at the top of the template and add the name and email address you wish to use. You must enter a valid email address or your invites will not be sent.

Click Done at the bottom to save your customizations. All invites sent going forward will now have your custom sender info.

Important: Once you've sent your invites with your custom sender info, don't forget to change the template back to the default email variables so your hosts' invitations and any invitations sent from the public invitation page will have the name and email address of the sender in the reply-to field and not your custom sender info. You can reset the template in two ways:

  • Click Reset to Default in the Edit Mode of the Invitation Email template (this will also reset any other changes you may have made to the template)

  • Manually replace the %HostName% and %HostEmailAddress% variables in their corresponding fields

Please note that the From Name shows the sender's name at email@fundeasy.com, because they are coming from our server. Some security software will block emails that are coming from another domain. If you find this to cause problems for your recipients, you should consider adding an DKIM record to your domain. This gives us permission to send mail on your behalf. Contact Support to get the code to add to your domain.
